I want to thank the good residents of Maplewood for their support in the Primary Election! I am deeply humbled and grateful that you believe in me and my ability to help create a city that will make us proud. Despite the negative attacks from some of my opponents, residents saw my commitment to changing what is so wrong with the politics of our city. We have issues that need attention and I will remain focused on developing real solutions. I will continue to speak directly to residents for guidance. I remain open to ideas and welcome your input. Thank you again!

3. What do you believe is Maplewood’s biggest challenge right now?
“Too much focus and attention is given to loud extremists, while many residents silently struggle for a truly representative city council that listens to its residents. The mayor willingly allows disruptions to the business of running our city for political gain. Maplewood needs a functional city council that works for its citizens rather than for select individuals. I will work with the new mayor to allow for resident input that is both relevant to and respectful of city employees or council members.”

GOAL REACHED!! I am thankful for those who contributed to this virtual fundraising effort. We raised $600 that will all be used towards a mailing next week encouraging folks to GET OUT AND VOTE!
Today, July 7th, I officially filed my candidacy at City Hall for Maplewood City Council

I am very proud and excited to have received the endorsement from Progressive Majority. Over the past two years I have developed an invaluable relationship with former and current staff at Progressive Majority. They serve as mentors, coaches and strategists to my campaign. I look forward to their help and guidance on my way to victory this Fall! “Progressive Majority is uniquely suited to the task of finding, training, and supporting progressive candidates who appeal to the state’s rich progressive history.”
I am proud and honored to have received endorsement from Joint Council 32 DRIVE. Below is an excerpt from my application….
…”My mother was an employee at Fisher Nut Company (St. Paul) for over 20 years and was a proud member of the Teamsters Local. My mother’s ability to work hard and provide for us as a single mother was absolutely protected by being a member of the Teamsters. I am a long believer in and supporter of unions, having benefitted first hand from their work as a child and again as a member of Education Minnesota.”

The top priority of my campaign has been to solicit input from Maplewood residents. Your individual answers are confidential and will only be shared as a group total. Please answer the THREE questions below. THANK YOU!
