Congratulations, Jim. I'm glad that Maplewood is concerned about good government, and not petty politics.

Congratulations on your win! The three candidates I voted for all were elected. Looking forward to the return to sanity now that the wicked witch is dead. Any idea who with fill the fifth chair? I can't seem to find an answer to that. Best wishes as you begin your term. Take Care!

Reading the article in Pioneer Press about the nameless
fliers makes me very angry. I have lived in Maplewood for sixty five years and found it a good place to live. Until
the past 4 years I found a lot of pride in my city. But a very nasty, biased group has invaded our city. They do not have the guts to sign their name which makes them cowards and creeps. I hope they are not living under the cloak of Christian, for in my Bible God says "Every man shall give account of himself for deeds done in his life". I do not think He gives us the right to judge others. HE also says "Judge not lest you be judged."

I met James Llanas two years ago when MVC endorsed him as one of four candidates we supported for City Council. I found he shared my concern for getting good government back in our city. He really cared that the Rubber Stamp Group had harmed our city in so many ways, just as I did. He is a very intelligent and professional person who would be a real asset to our City Council. I urge you to study his qualification and vote for him.

I spoke at the visitors presentation at City Council
October 26th on my disgust with the element that has invaded our city with their hate and racism. It makes me very sad. James has my permission to use this endorsement in any way he wishes. He has not requested it, but I feel we all need to take a stand for what is right. I do not have a problem with using my real name--

Attaching or taping flyers to mailboxes, as Mr. Hafner's campaign did, is also a violation of Federal law. See http://pe.usps.gov/cpim/ftp/manuals/dmm_old/D041.pdf -- "no part of a mail receptacle may be used to deliver any matter not bearing postage, including items or matter placed upon, supported by, attached to, hung from, or inserted into a mail receptacle."

I don't know if the folks distributing the flyers in the picture above were too lazy to walk up a driveway to the house, or were afraid of being seen distributing it.
